Missionary Update                March 2004 Newsletter

TOM AND KIM HARVES, OAK CREEK, COLORADO

Tom and Kim, their children and the dog thank the Lord for a larger home. They will live in this home about a year or until they are able, through a government program, to secure a loan to build their own home. They need the Lord's wisdom in selecting the right program.

Patience and perseverance are needed in ministering in a small town. You need to earn the trust of the people before they will seek your help. Such has been the case with Tom and Kim. Now their labors are paying dividends. Recently Tom officiated at a funeral attended by over 300 people at the local school gym. Tom had led the man to Christ a short time before he died. Tom and Kim have faithfully served this community. God is honoring that commitment.

Even though it is still March, work is underway for the Rodeo Bible Camp, which will be June 24-27. The church has had this ministry for several years. The campers come each day for four days, with the care and enjoyment of horses as a key element of their program along with effective Bible teaching. Many young people have received Christ as a result of this ministry.

PRAYER REQUEST: Tom has need of another truck to do his church business in as well as plow the church parking lot when covered with snow.

ERIC AND PAIGE ELLIS: DELTA. COLORADO

We recently received word from Eric that Paige has been diagnosed with MS. This was quite a blow for a young woman, a young woman with two little boys. Her doctor feels that she has MS, even though at this time she is feeling good and does not require medication. She will require periodic check-ups.

Caleb, who is eight months old, is also doing better from his stomach and lung problems. We are grateful that Paige's sister, Paula came to help for several weeks.

Dr. Elliott Johnson, Dallas Theological Seminary, spoke on the Second Coming of Christ at GMBC, March 7-9. The average attendance was in the 60-70s each service. Praise for a well attended children's program during the services.

A church is blessed when the Word is given clearly and the people respond, not only in belief, but in action. Eric and Paige are grateful for the faithfulness of the people as well as for the new families that seek spiritual help from the church.

Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and support for these choice servants the Lord has given the Mission
