Missionary Update Winter 2003 Newsletter
Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,
I would like to greet you and your loved ones in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and thank you so much for your prayers and financial support of my ministry on God's field!
I am thankful to the Lord that He is faithful to His promise and helps me through every day of my life and ministry.
Together with my assistant in ministry I continue visiting unbelievers in Shatsk. After Jesus film demonstration we have a number of addresses of those who expressed their desire to hear more about God. One week a team of brothers and sisters went around Shatsk witnessing one-on-one. People admit they are sinners and pray a sinner's prayer, but are not ready to come to church.
Sometimes it makes us very sad, but we do what we can to proclaim the message of salvation. Besides the addresses we have and our neighbors, we try to establish contact with new people so that we could come to their homes and bring them the Gospel message.
We had a blessed Christmas service where our youth and children praised the Lord with songs and poems. Children received small gifts from the church. Our youth from Shatsk and Svityaz united and went from house to house at Christmas singing Christmas songs. At the same time they invited people to come to our festive service at the church.
It was a good testimony about our Lord Jesus Christ for many people; it was a surprise for others that there's such a church in their community and so many young people attend it.
We continue youth fellowships on Monday nights, prayer meetings on Wednesdays, Bibles studies on Fridays, and Sunday morning worship services.
Our ministry in Pulmo is going on like it was. We have problems with transportation means and it affects our ability to visit this village on a regular basis. It happens that people gather there and have to leave because no minister comes. We keep praying that the Lord would help us purchase at least an old car for ministry needs.
We are planning to organize a training seminar for our church members to encourage them for evangelism. Together with brother Valentin we arranged it with the principal of a public school in Svityaz to start teaching lessons for high school students right after Christmas.
Thank you so much for your care and your vital part in our joint ministry in Ukraine! May the Lord bless you and repay you hundredfold for all you do in His name!
Please pray:
1) For our ministry in school.
2) For people that come to our church that they would repent and trust Christ.
3) For the opportunity to conduct a seminar on evangelism.
4) For my family: my wife and children who are a great support and help to me in ministry.
Blessings to you in the New Year!
In Christ,
Vyacheslov Malinov
