Missionary Update            Spring 2004 Newsletter

 

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,

Greetings to you and your loved ones on the greatest Christian Holiday of Christ's Resurrection! Christ is risen! He is our hope!

I have this great privilege to preach and praise our Savior, thanks to your assistance. I am so thankful for your love and sincere heart, for the help I can receive for my ministry and family.

Our congregation in Shatsk has been praying for revival and the Lord answered our prayers. This one woman made a public profession of her faith and wants to be baptized and become a church member this summer.

We conducted a conference at our church in Shatsk in personal evangelism, discipleship, goals of the church and evangelism methods. Some brothers and sisters felt a special responsibility before God to spread the Gospel and thus fulfill His great commandment.

Together with brothers we've been conducting lectures for high school students in a public school in Svityaz. Students are very eager to learn from the Bible and find answers to their questions. Please keep praying for this ministry.

I am so glad that young people come for youth fellowships and some unsaved youth among them. In one festive service 43 young people came. I thank the Lord for this. For some of them it was their first time in a Christian youth meeting.

As far as our ministry in Pulmo, we still have no opportunity to conduct regular services because of no vehicle. But the Lord has been good to us and He sent us half the needed sum to purchase an old used vehicle. So we keep praying and trust that the Lord will provide the rest.

I have finished renovations in my own old house (bathroom and kitchen). I had prayed about opportunities to have sewerage and hot water and the Lord helped to accomplish it.

We have preliminary agreement with a Shatsk vocational school to teach a series of preventive lectures on AIDS and drugs. It is our desire that these meetings would become regular and we could teach the Bible to these students.

I thank God for you and for your faithful prayers and support of my ministry. May the Lord repay you out of His great richness!
