Missionary Update                Fall 2003 Letter

I Thess. 3:9 "For what thanks can we render to God for you in return for all the joy with which we rejoice before our God on your account?"

Dear friends at Grace Bible,

As Autumn quickly passes here in the mountains we continue to keep busy ministering to people in various ways:

On Sept. 24th, we started our AWANA program. Many new faces were amongst the crowd of parents and kids. God answered our prayers by allowing us to have enough leaders and listeners to make AWANA possible. (In August we were very doubtful).

Fall Bible Studies have gotten underway. Tom is leading one on the book of Revelation and Kim will be leading the ladies through the book of Esther. In our Morning Worship services, Tom is preaching through the book of Romans. It is exciting to see our congregation growing in the knowledge of the Lord!

We continue to have unique avenues of ministering to members of the South Routt community. Over the past several months, Tom has been working as an assistant football coach for the local high school team. It's neat to see him working with teenagers again but in a different capacity then when he was a full-time Youth Pastor. Kim has a few "community ministries" as well. This month she will begin playing the piano for a children's choir at the elementary school. She, also, seems to have a ministry with preschoolers and their moms.

We continue to be on the lookout for finding a larger home. We have not been successful so far---everything has been out of our price range. One family in our church is doing some checking into a home that will be coming on the market possibly this month. It will still be a miracle for the price to be low enough --- so please pray for God to work in hearts!

As we trample through the beautiful, sparkling, golden aspen leaves scattered over the ground it makes us think of heaven and its streets of gold. It also reminds us to say thank you to you for investing in the lives of many who otherwise would not know the way to this beautiful place called heaven.

Love,

Tom & Kim Harves
