Missionary Update Winter 2004 Newsletter
Dear Family and Friends,
We have exciting news! As many of you may already know, we are expecting our first baby on
July 15. We are very happy for this new addition to our family! We will move back to Colorado about seven weeks before the baby is born. At our last appointment (Jan. 21), we were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. It is so amazing to have a little person growing inside of me. I am about 17 weeks along and am starting to grow out of my clothes. I am still battling with morning sickness; hopefully, it will end soon.
Last semester we contacted the field of Papua New Guinea, in order to let them know of our intentions to serve there. They were excited to hear from us and sent us tons of paperwork to fill out. Papua New Guinea is located just north of Australia. It is comprised of several islands. There are about 850 different language cultural groups, and most of them are unreached.
During this semester of training, we will have about six weeks of learning a language such as Spanish. We will have a language helper that we will meet with us every day. We will put into practice all our language learning skills. Right now, we are studying grammar and analyzing foreign languages' sentence structures.
This is our last semester of training. We will graduate Language Institute in May. We are excited to be another step closer to going to the field. After we graduate, we will move back to Parachute, Colorado for approximately nine months. We are hoping to arrive in "Papua New
Guinea in the spring of 2005. During those nine months, we will be raising our support. We would love to share about our ministry with many different individuals and churches. We want to get a jump start on the planning. If you would like us to come and speak at your church, or if you would like more information, please contact us at the address on the bottom of the page.
You are a continual source of joy and encouragement to us as you faithfully pray and stand with us financially.
Dedicated to serving Him,
Jasson & Kim Farmer
