Director's Column

T
he AOI speakers have been extremely busy these last 2 months. Several of us have had four to seven week-long speaking trips. Through it all, the most memorable times for Mary Jo & I were at a college campus and a church. At the church, the youth group all sat together and made it a point to have everyone there for all sessions. They were hungry to hear what we had to say and interacted with us extensively. At the college, where both Dr. Dan Korow and I spoke, only one third of the audience was made up of Christian kids. That means the majority of the group had never heard about Creation before. Sure, some of the two-thirds were there to "shoot us down," but many of them were genuinely interested! We really appreciated their questions and openness. It was good to see eyes and hearts opened to the truth of God's Word!
The Christian students were encouraged to finally have someone speak who offered support for their faith rather than tearing it down! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed all of the church and school seminars we did on this trip, but face it, when we can come alongside those who are getting barraged almost daily with anti-Christian propaganda, it feels 'good to bandage their wounds and encourage them to go forth with renewed strength!
Pray for the Christian students as they follow up on those who attended. We praise God for what He is doing on that campus and in other colleges, churches and schools around the country. Thank you for helping to make this speaking possible!
