Mexico 2004 Team Update

Dear friends,

Thank you again for all of your support, whether with your encouragement, finances, e-mails, or prayers. Mexico 2004 was truly life changing. I was blessed personally and challenged in my own walk with Christ and am thankful that He gave me this opportunity to be a part of this team.

Of course there were many firsts for me this week that made Mexico 2004 exciting and unique. I tasted my first rattlesnake, mussel, and Mexican-Chinese food, I lived through my first earthquake, and was able to enjoy chicken molle and sushi (Six Flags style) once again. As exhilarating as the new experiences were, I was most excited to see how God used and worked in so many people, both on our team and from Mexico.

My highlight for the week was watching several individuals flourish on this trip, go beyond their comfort zones, and stayed available for God to do incredible things. On Thursday, I truly enjoyed our time of worship with our Mexican brothers. Even more thrilling for me was to sing praises with them, miss notes, mess up on our tempo, and all around massacre some beautiful Spanish, but then to look forward to the promise of our Savior's return and consider together that we will be changed on that glorious day, not as Americans, but as the church universal. And then I will sing praises with Andres, Jorge, Fernando, Rafael, and all the others and we will praise Him together with no hindrances.

Thank you again for all of your prayers over this last week. We are so grateful for your partnership in this ministry with us. May God bless you and your family.

                    Because He lives,
