June 20, 2004 - A Warm Ride Home
Today we visited the Henry's church, Cornerstone Community Church. They had a guest speaker, Dr. Don Davis, who spoke about raising up inner-city pastors. After that we all got some Jamba Juice. Yum! Then we headed back to the Henry's to pack up the vans. At first there was some car trouble, but they got it fixed and we had no more the rest of the way home. We pulled into the Valley of Fire about 10:30 p.m. As the girls were getting ready for bed they found a huge black widow beside one of the picnic tables that we were sleeping on. But our hero Mark saved us damsels in distress (although he hates the spiders just as much) and eventually
we got some sleep. Thank you everyone for your prayers, this has truly been a blessed and rewarding trip.
