Training Faithful Men - The Scripture commands us not only to evangelize the lost, but to disciple those that are saved and to train faithful men who will also teach faithful men. In February, David Straight, one of those faithful men, started a two year internship at Grace working with our youth under the structure of XL Ministries' internship program.

The WatchCare Fund - Grace Bible Church is committed to a provisions ministry for families and individuals in financial need, especially within our local congregation. In February, we began a new program specifically geared towards helping those going through times of trial. To oversee and administer this new program, Chuck Hudson was welcomed into the leadership at Grace as the deacon in charge of this ministry.

Jeff Niles Appointed as an Elder - Pastor Jeff came to Grace Bible Church in 1999 and served as our interim pastor through 2002. After working closely with the elder board over that year, it was decided to ask Jeff to become an elder at Grace.

Our New Pastor - On a couple occasions in 2002, we had the opportunity to meet with Charlie Hornick and his wife, Sue. In February, Charlie spoke at our Valentine's Day Banquet and was asked to become our new pastor. Two months later, Pastor Hornick and his lovely wife moved to the valley from Nebraska where Charlie served as a pastor and also as a professor at Frontier School of the Bible. God's timing is beautiful and we are thankful for the man He brought to us and for the way He worked in our lives over that year of waiting on Him.

After the testing period for new elders, Pastor Charlie also came onto our elder board seven months later.
