New Associate Pastor - In October of 1998, there was a recommendation by the Elders regarding the development of an Assistant position at Grace Bible Church. While everyone's comments were gracious, positive and affirming, some shared concern regarding the timing of the action with regard to the building. It was prayerfully tabled by the Elders with the expectation that God is able to affirm the timing, the right person and the resources.
In February, Jeff Niles and his family had moved to our area and became involved in the ministry of the church. Recognizing the opportunity, the Elders recommended hiring Jeff as an Assistant Pastor on a part time basis.
August 9, 1999
Building Plans - The Elders and Building Committee of Grace Bible Church presented plans to the congregation for a facility to be built on Spencer Parkway in Battlement Mesa. The plans were approved in August of 1999.
August 15, 1999
New Deacons - Two of our deacons, Lyle Fitzsimmons and Dick Doran have served well in the ministries appointed to them, to which we praise God. In the course of time, both shared that the time for replacements had come. Two men, Bob Campbell and Bill Nichols, that had been worship with us for some time were appointed as new deacons at Grace Bible Church.
December 18, 1999
New Deacon - Marv Martin was appointed as a new deacon and took responsibility for the finances of Grace Bible Church.
