A meeting was held at the Battlement Mesa Activity Center in the Adult Game Room at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 1989. There were 19 adults and 11 children from the Parachute area
and guests from Denver -- Robert Brandow, director of Rocky Mountain Bible Church Mission, Mr. & Mrs. Mark Henry and daughter Melissa, and Pastor Bruce Miles from Frisco, CO.
There was a VCR tape shown by Mr. Brandow to explain the purpose and work of the mission and the Independent Fundamental Churches of America (IFCA) churches.
A short service was held and discussion was held with questions and answers -- much interest was shown in starting a church in this area.
December 23, 1989
A meeting was held at the Activity Center, Adult Game Room on Saturday night. Twenty people were in attendance including Bob Brandow and Mark Henry. A discussion was held regarding a name for the church. It was voted to have Grace Bible Church as the name.
The Rocky Mountain Bible Church Mission doctrinal statement was discussed and explained where questions were asked. A motion was made by Cleora Amick that we go as Grace Bible Church and that we sign an agreement with the RMBCM. The motion unanimously passed. There were thirteen signatures signed on the agreement with Bob Brandow signing as the director of RMBCM. They would appoint the temporary mission pastor to serve with the agreement being that it would be Mark Henry.
It was also suggested that we begin as a church group on January 7, 1990 or as soon as possible.
Mark Henry gave a Christmas message.

A Church meeting was held at 6:30 p.m. at the Activity Center, total attendance 26.
